RESULTS
From July 2 to July 10, 2016 the 22nd International Sailing Race “CYCLADES REGATTA 2016” will take place. This race is part of the official program of the Greek Open Sea Sailing Federation (EIO).
Along with the Greek boats, all foreign boats with their crews and all recognized categories (ORCi, ORC Club, ORC Club Non Spinnaker and IRC) are invited to participate in the race.

- Friday 1/7/2016 – 19.30: FALIRO – Skippers Meeting (see below)
- Saturday 2/7/2016 – 20.00: KEA – Gathering of boats
- Sunday 3/7/2016 – 11.00: 1st RACE – Kea to Naxos: 69 NM
- Monday 4/7/2016: Day off
- Tuesday 5/7/2016 11.00: 2nd RACE – Naxos to Kimolos: 44 NM
- Wednesday 6/7/2016: Day off
- Thursday 7/7/2016 11.00: 3rd RACE – Kimolos to Sifnos 19 NM
- Friday 8/7/2016: Day off
- Saturday 9/7/2016 – 11.00: 4th RACE – Sifnos to Kythnos 31 NM
The Islands we visit this time is Kea (Tzia), Naxos, Kimolos, Sifnos and Kythnos. Local authorities, associations, seafarers’ groups and residents of these islands, traditionally are our hosts and welcome us with a warm embrace. They make sure to entertain us following the local traditions and showing us the beauties and monuments of their region.
During the period of the race, the Aegean Sea and especially in the Cyclades region has usually favorable to sailing weather conditions.
The Cyclades are of the most loved destinations for sailing boats. They combine natural beauty, traditional hospitality, the appropriate infrastructure for yachts and the typical nautical tradition, charming both Greeks and foreign visitors.

Friday 01/07/2016
Time 18.00:
Collection of participation fee. Delivery of bag with sailing instructions on Battleship AVEROF.
Time 19.30: Faliro – Skippers only Meeting on Battleship AVEROF.
Time 20.30: Welcome to crews on Battleship Averof – Total 2 persons including the Skipper (please send by email to our Club the names of persons who will attend – there will be check-in at the entrance of AVEROF).
Saturday 02/07/2016: Gathering of boats in KEA
19.00 – 20.00: Skippers meeting at the Cultural Centre “Stylianos Restis” in Korissia.
21.00: Reception feast for crews with Kea products and sharing of commemorative gift per boat.

Starting 1st Offshore Regatta:
KEA – NAXOS : 69 NM
Monday 04/07/2016:
Day Off with various events that will be announced in due.
20.00: 1st Race Awards Ceremony.

NAXOS – KIMOLOS: 44 NM
Wednesday 06/07/2016:
DAY OFF with events that will be announced in due course.
20.00: 2nd Race Awards Ceremony.
Thursday 07/07/2016 Time 11.00:
Starting of the 3rd Offshore Regatta:
KIMOLOS – SIFNOS: 19 NM
Friday 08/07/2016:
DAY OFF with events to be announced in due course.
20.00: 3rd Race Awards Ceremony.
Saturday 09/07/2016 Time 11.00:
Starting 4th Offshore Regatta:
SIFNOS – KYTHNOS 31 NM
21.00: 4th Race Awards Ceremony.
22.30: Evening event.
Sunday 10/07/2016:
Farewell to participating crews.
In the case of particularly low wind speeds, shortcut routes may be made at appropriate points.
